“Sorry about this,” the man said. A needle jabbed into my arm. I moved quickly, stomping on his foot then throwing my forehead into his nose. A wicked crack sounded that would’ve made me gleeful if not for the sluggishness quickly washing over me.
“What did you do to me?” I breathed as black spots formed in my vision.
A nap sounded really good right about now. Under different circumstances.
“Just a little drug to help you sleep,” he said, catching my shoulders even as he bled all over me. His grip was strong, but not painful.
Well, at least my kidnapper was a gentleman.
